[PART 3] ONCE UPON THE TIME MALAYSIA

Part 3 is starting now. I hope you are not getting bored with my blog. On this part 3, I will share about my Day 4 until Day 5 on my last trip at Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We will still talk about Malacca on Day 4 and going back to Kuala Lumpur City on Day 5.

Day 4 (May 7, 2016)
After the good rest, we woke up gratefully because we had another chapter at Malacca and on that day was our last day at Malacca. As my ritual in the morning, flatlay on the white bed.
Flat Lay
We started our exploration at 10 AM. We passed through Jongker Street to reach the well-known venues at Malacca. Wow, take a look the street!

As I said on Part 2, you can go everywhere (venues on Malacca) just by walking. Every place is so close. Let's start walking

1. Melaka River Cruise
The Malacca River is the river that cuts across Malacca town, on its way to the Straits of Malacca. It separates the civic district clustered at the foot of St Paul's Hill, from the residential and commercial district of Heeren Street and Jonker Street. (source : melakarivercruise.com). I didn't do a deep exploration on this place. All I know was Melaka River has a good scenery.

2. Street Art
This one made me so happy when I saw it. Bright colours painted beautifully on the wall. It is called Street Art. I had surfed on the Internet, there were so many street art along the edge of Melaka River Cruise but I just found one like this :

3. Christ Church Melaka
Christ Church is an 18th-century Anglican church in the city of Malacca. It is the oldest functioning Protestant Church in Malaysia (source : wikipedia). I think this venue is a "must-must visit" venue all the time. This church is surrounding by many red building which make this place so eye-catching. I have many photograph report for you.

4. Dataran Pahlawan Mall (Melaka Megamall)
Fuih, the weather was so hot, the sun shone brightly. It made us kept sweating and thirsty. My sister asked, "We should go to the mall." and we went to the Dataran Pahlawan Mall immediately. The mall was located about 1 KM from Christ Church Melaka. What do you think, if u hear the word of "Mall". Nothing special right? So as this mall.

We only looked around and went back to the hotel soon. Yeah, the main issue is weather. Felt so exhausted. Here are the other shots along way back to the hotel.

I love this Big Portion of Wan Tan Mee so much. The noodles texture was soft and completed with sour soup. Forgot the name of the store. But I can give you the clue, besides the wan tan mee, they also sell the Shaved Ice.

Soon, we arrived hotel in tired mood. Wanna take a bath, wanna take a rest. But, we still had the stamina left for another trip at Jongker Walk at night. There were many store hadn't been visited yet. Scroll for the gallery.

I think that's all. The end of exploration of Jongker Walk. We went back to the hotel earlier. This was our last night at Malacca. Time to rest. zzzZZZ...

Day 5 (May 8, 2016)
We checked out from The Hotel Hong at 8 AM in the morning. I truly recommended this hotel to stay for those who want visit Malacca. The service was so excellent with strategic position to the many venues at Malacca. And I felt so amazed, when we got free service of mini van to the Melaka Sentral from Hotel Management. They said they also had the free service mini van from Melaka Sentral to the hotel. Huh! If we known this information earlier before we came to Malacca, we didn't have to walk to our hotel on Day 3. I will give you the address of Hotel Hong (Jalan Masjid, Kampung Dua, 75300 Malacca, Malaysia - Phone : +60 6-286 3322). Call them when you arrive Melaka Sentral, they will pick you up for free.

Bought 3 tickets, we were ready to go back to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (1 ticket = RM 12)
Ticket
Through the connection bridge from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, we got back to Bandar Tasek Selatan. Just reversed the route, Bandar Tasek Selatan - KL Sentral (via KTM) - Bukit Bintang (via Monorail). Yes, we had Kuala Lumpur City schedule on this day until the last day.

Waiting for KTM
It took about 15 minutes to reach KL Sentral with KTM. Althought we were very exhausted, we still had stamina left to be happy. We were happy there were more adventures ahead.
Hello KL Sentral
KL Sentral Shot
Very crowded, huh? Now I know why there is "Sentral" on KL Sentral. KL Sentral is a hub of any transportation, like : Aliran Kelana Jaya, KTM Komuter, KTM Antarbandar, KLIA Express, KLIA Transit, and Monorail KL.

Our next destination was The Batu Caves. We had to reach The Batu Caves by using KTM Komuter. But, how sad. We were already at KL Sentral, but we couldn't go to The Batu Caves directly because
our heavy luggage. So, we did the Hotel Check-in first at Apple Hotel that located at Bukit Bintang. FYI, to go Bukit Bintang, you can use Monorail KL service. To find the monorail station, you just need to go upstairs by using escalator (look the escalator behind my sister and my mom). After that, you will arrive at KL Sentral Mall and just follow the direction of Monorail KL. You can use these shot for your references to reach Monorail KL station.

That's so easy to find the Monorail Station. Before using the service of Monorail KL, you must buy the blue token from automatic ticket machine. 1 pcs for 1 passenger (each RM 2,5 to Bukit Bintang)

I didn't take any shot at the station because 1 minute after we bought the token, the Rapid KL came fast. But, I got chance to take some pictures inside the Rapid KL.

Yay, we arrived Bukit Bintang safely. Bukir Bintang is the centre of shopping stores, cafe, restaurants, and many more at Kuala Lumpur. Bukit Bintang is so famous for tourists in the world. When they come to Kuala Lumpur City, most of them will stay at Bukit Bintang.
Bukit Bintang
Mom at Bukit Bintang
I didn't get some photos on that time because we were in hurry. We had to go back to KL Sentral via Monorail KL and straight to The Batu Caves via KTM Komuter. But I will show the way to my hotel at Bukit Bintang. Due to the project of MRT in Bukit Bintang, many road has been fixed. Some roads was in progress. The impact of that was the walking street to the Jalan Alor (where my hotel located) disturbed.

We arrived at 11 AM. We couldn't check-in yet, because the check-in schedule started at 2 PM. So, we just leave our luggage at the Hotel and continued our trip. I met my friend, Trigen here at the hotel. We stayed at the same hotel. He was also in his holiday at Kuala Lumpur. Before that, he spent his holiday at Singapore. He decided to join with us to The Batu Caves.

After the tiring journey from Malacca to Kuala Lumpur, we were so starving. So, Charging Energy with food is a must. We chose KFC. We were curious about the KFC taste in Malaysia.
KFC
Crispy Skin
Hmm. The appearance and the tarte are still the same as KFC Indonesia. The different is that rice. Can you guess what that kind of rice? Yes, that is Nasi Lemak. Most popular rice menu in Kuala Lumpur. But there is still another difference from its sauce. I think I prefer the sauce from Indonesia. KFC Malaysia's sauces are all sweet. Even the chili sauce is in the sweet flavour.

Energy was fully charged. We continued the trip back to KL Sentral via Monorail KL. Via KTM Komuter from KL Sentral, we soon arrived The Batu Caves at 1 PM. This was my first time visiting Batu Caves. If u use KTM Komuter to reach this place, you will enter the site from the left main entrance.
The Left Main Entrance
Hanuman
Before you walk into the main The Batu Caves site, you can enter (we didn't enter) The Ramayana Cave that located next to the main entrance. This 15 m (50 ft) Hanuman statue is located at in front of the entrance of Ramayana Cave. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuma, devotee and aide of Lord Rama. (click https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batu_Caves for details).

The Batu Caves
You can also find many pigeon spread on the road in front of the sub entrance of Batu Caves.

Lord Murugan Status
The Batu Caves is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India that located in Malaysia, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. You can see some Indian people gather on this site.

Can you see the stairs behind the Lord Murugan statue? To reach the religious site, you have to climb 272 steps of stairs. Before that, we always rembered to take a selfie shot.

Time To Climb
So high... Some kind of cardio training for us by climbing these stairs. Inhale and Exhale so fast. Rest a while and we looked behind.
Fuihh..
Arrive Safely
So sad when I realized that I didn't take some shots inside the caves. Because i was busy shooting the video. But you can see what inside by following me on Instagram. I already posted the video on my feed. When you reach caves (after 272nd steps of stair), you will find sub-stairs inside stairs. So, you have to claim again. And then you will arrive the main religious shrine that many Indian people praying inside.

[TIPS] I'm gonna tell you something, make sure you hold on tight your belongings when you step up/down the stairs because there are so many monkeys which could stole your things everywhere.
Monkey
That's the end of The Batu Caves trip. Went back to KL Sentral via KTM Komuter. The next destination was asked by my sister and my mom. Yeah, they asked to go to Shopping Centre. So, based on itinerary, we chose Berjaya Times Square. From The KL Sentral, we used Rapid KL (Monorail KL) to Berjaya Times Square.

First place to be checked-in at Berjaya Times Square, Hui Lau Shan. A dessert place for MANGO lovers.

Besides Mango, they also offered Non-Mango dessert. But mostly Mango.

Com Tam (RM 15,90)
There are so many menu you can order here. For me, I didn't find anything special on the taste of foods here. But It is still worth to eat.

From Berjaya Times Square, we went back the Hotel (Jalan Alor) to take a bath and have a rest for a while. As usual, we needed more energy to the next journey. For your information, Berjaya Times Square is located not so far to Bukit Bintang area. So, if you want to save the money, you can go to Bukit Bintang by just walking. I think it is less than 1 KM.

Our next trip is Petronas Twin Towers. Actually, I have been there in 2014 and 2015. But I've never seen the view of Petronas Twin Tower at night. From Jalan Alor, we walked to Petronas Twin Towers via connecting bridge. I would like to tell you the direction. If you are from Jalan Alor, you must go to the Pavilion first.

Pavilion
If you want to access the connecting bridge, you have to find the city walk area of Pavilion that located on the left. Just walk on the bridge and pay attention on the direction.

When you exit the bridge, go find the building where Aquaria located. Enter the builing and passing through The Aquaria and food court behind Aquaria. Exit the building by go upstairs. You will arrive the wide garden area. From there, you could see the Petronas Twin Towers from the distance. Walk straight to that sign, and you will arrive behind Suria KLCC where Petronas Twin Towers located. If you are not interested of walking, you can use GO KL Bus to reach Petronas Twin Towers. You can use the free-service of Go KL bus by waiting it on Starhill Gallery (Sephora builing) bus-stop in front of the main entrance of Pavilion. But, I'm higly recommend walking instead. You will get more experience then.

Suria KLCC
Water Show
Don't stop there, continue entering the Suria KLCC Mall and go to the main lobby of Suria KLCC and you will get another view of Petronas Twin Towers.

That is our experiences of Petronas Twin Towers. Is it beautiful view if you visit Petronas at night, right? It was getting late at night and the weather was a little bit raining. So, we went back to Jalan Alor to have something to eat. Let's Go!

Bukit Bintang
Back again to Jalan Alor. The most crowed place for tourist. You can find anything here, foods, accessories, gift, hotel, and many more. You call it Pasar Malam or something like that. It looks like Khao San Road if you ever visited Thailand.
Jalan Alor
Chinese Food
Kung Pao Chicken
Fried Noodle
Shaved Ice Dessert
Sour Fish Fried Rice
The taste like the common Chinese Food that I ever tried but those are the great food to end this tiring Day 5 in Kuala Lumpur City. In sleepy and exhausted mood, we got back to the Hotel and take a sleep. HOOAAMM..
